Vlkodlaks

Vlkodlaks
   Slavonic name for the werewolf, from vlko meaning wolf, and dlaks meaning hair. Popularly supposed to cause eclipses of the sun and moon, thereby showing a kinship with Fenrir, the Nordic wolf. An alternative spelling is Vookodlaks.
